Baking block lettering series... a fun exploration into baking and dessert idioms and chunky block lettering styles
Baking Block Lettering and Illustration Series
After watching a tutorial from Mary Kate McDevitt on block lettering, I decided to do a fun series using chunky lettering styles inspired by her tutorial and using baking and dessert idioms as a jumping off point. I collected idioms that I thought would be fun to illustrate and created lettering illustrations mostly based on the text, adding an illustration to show the idiom better. In total, I created 8 images in the series. Illustration and lettering were hand-drawn in Procreate on an iPad with an Apple pencil.
