Being a Lunatic Editorial Illustrations - Lettering on Photographs
I had the pleasure to be involved in a project about the moon that was entirely women-led and celebrated our connection, history, and relationship to the moon, combining words, fashion, photography, and art. For the project, I was given 4 photographs and raw interview text from a woman and her thoughts on the moon. From these, I chose text elements from the interview and combined words with a photo to create a lettering layout on the photo. I had full flexibility to create the pieces in the style and layout I thought worked best, so I played with the text interacting with the photo around the main subject. I was one of six artists who created three images for the project, which was featured in Unography Magazine in June 2020 and can be seen here:
