Chicken Croquettes Recipe Illustration

The Brief: A personal project to illustrate a family favorite recipe for the They Draw & Cook website and publications.
Role: Graphic designer and illustrator responsible for concept, design, and implementation of all lettering and illustration.
Tools Used: Procreate app, iPad Pro, Apple pencil.

My family has a tradition of making Chicken (or turkey, just after Thanksgiving) Croquettes around holidays or family gatherings. They are basically minced poultry in a bechamel sauce, then formed into balls and fried. Amazingly tasty, and a common request when we all get together. I’ve started making them myself and have my mom’s old family recipe so I wanted to illustrate it since I was enjoying the meal over a recent post-Thanksgiving. The final recipe is on the website They Draw & Cook.
