Food Illustrations for Allergen-Free Lunch Kit Branding & Packaging
The Brief: To create fun and whimsical food illustrations for the ingredients in Nunches’ allergen-free lunch kit for use in their branding, packaging, and socials.
Role: Illustrator responsible for concepts and implementation of illustrations.
Tools Used: Procreate app, iPad Pro, Apple pencil.
The startup Nunches reached out to me to create fun and whimsical ingredients for their new allergen-free lunch kit. The illustrations needed to appeal to kids of all ages, so be fun and playful, while also looking professional for parents as buyers. They also needed to convey the tasty food accurately while still maintaining the playful vibe of the brand. The kits Nunches was featuring to start included gluten- and dairy-free elements, including a turkey sandwich, apple slices, double chocolate chip cookies, and baked potato chips. I initially created seven illustrations for their use on the packaging, branding and for social posts. The client was very excited and happy with the fun illustrations I provided and in the end commissioned more illustrations for use than the original scope of the project entailed, and continues to work with me on more food illustrations as needed.
