June in Bloom Lifestyle & Flower Illustrations
The Brief: For an Instagram prompt in June 2022, create one illustration per month following the theme.
Role: Illustrator and lettering artist responsible for all lettering and illustration.
Tools Used: iPad Pro, Procreate app, Apple Pencil.
In June 2022, some artists I follow created a monthly challenge called June in Bloom with a floral theme per week of the month. I thought it would be fun to follow along, so using the prompts, I created 5 new illustrations, all containing flowers and following the theme provided, and I decided to add a cocktail or drink and a small illustration of a woman (myself) interacting in each one. The resulting suite of illustrations are a fun exploration of flowers, lettering, summer, cocktails, portraiture, and lifestyle illustration, with a few puns thrown in.

Go wild surrounded by wildflowers, with a tasty cocktail in a cut-glass coupe class. Pretty flowers on this one!
