Floral Alphabet Monogram Drop Cap Illustrations
The Brief: For the 2022 @36daysoftype Instagram challenge, create a custom alphabet from A to Z.
Role: Illustrator and lettering artist responsible for concept, design, and implementation of all lettering and illustration.
Tools Used: iPad Pro, Procreate app, Apple Pencil.
This pretty floral collection of letters is a personal project that combines two of my favorite things, lettering and flowers. I used a chalk-like style and vintage lettering inspiration to create white letters with flowers surrounding the letterforms. All flowers and letters were hand-drawn.
Such pretty flowers combined with hand-drawn lettering. Letters A through D, combining floral motifs and vintage letter styles.
Letters E through H, combining floral motifs and vintage letter styles for some pretty flowers and hand-drawn lettering.
Letters I through L in different vintage letter styles, combining flowers with hand-drawn lettering.
Letters M through P, hand-drawn lettering in various vintage-inspired lettering styles combined with pretty florals to suit the style of the lettering.
Letters Q through T, combining floral motifs and vintage letter styles.
Letters U through X, combining vintage lettering styles with pretty floral motifs to create pretty monogram letters.
The last two letters of the series, Y and Z, combining floral motifs and vintage letter styles.
