Restaurant Branding and Menu Design and Food Illustration Series
The Brief: To create a hand-drawn logo for a fun new concept restaurant, and a series of stylized black-and-white food illustrations and food lettering for the restaurant menu and menu design
Role: Illustrator and lettering artist responsible for all research and illustration, and design.
Tools Used: Procreate app, iPad Pro, Apple pencil, and Photoshop
Fill Yer Belly is a concept restaurant needing a playful hand-drawn and whimsical logo. I created a lettering logo that is hand-drawn and illustrated for the restaurant branding. In addition, I created a series of menu food illustrations to put on the menu sections and worked on the restaurant menu design. Each section of the menu has a black-and-white icon illustration with the food item category hand-lettered into the illustration, then has a section heading that is hand-drawn lettering. Beneath each menu icon and section heading is a list of dishes that have punny or word-play in the titles. The entire idea for the restaurant menu was to be fun and playful and to implement stylized food illustrations and hand-drawn lettering to give a very approachable, contemporary, and casual vibe.
