Birthday Bash Food Pun Illustration
The Brief: To create a birthday food illustration in the size and format for the They Draw & Cook website and publications.
Role: Graphic designer and illustrator responsible for concept, design, and implementation of all lettering and illustration.
Tools Used: Procreate app, iPad Pro, Apple pencil.
The They Draw & Cook website put forth a project to create a birthday-themed food image, so I went punny all around! I researched some great birthday food puns, often with foods not traditionally associated with birthdays, but celebrations can take many forms. I teamed up a great and yummy selection, each with an individual birthday pun to communicate for a happy birthday. Then I grouped them together and created a bold lettering Birthday Bash banner above.
After creating the final illustration, I split up each food into an individual card image and created a series of greeting cards, ready to give out for birthday wishes!

All the foods became their own greeting cards, so here each food is on its own on a card to celebrate a birthday!
